“We’re not our bodies, we’re not our minds.  Our bodies are a tool, you know, just like our mind is a tool.  We are spirit; that’s my belief.  And when I connect with that spirit every day then I’m in creation, I’m co-partnering with the Universe, and that is something that I’ve taken on and do, and move from that space.  So I’m led by spirit every day now.”

Toni Reece: Thank you so much, Mimi, for agreeing to be part of the Project today, and before we begin, can you introduce yourself?

Mimi Quick: Absolutely.  Thank you, thank you.  My name is Mimi Quick, and I’ve been called the Psychic Power Coach and also the Prosperity Muse.  Would you like to know what I do?

Toni: Sure, sure!  What do you do?

Mimi: Well, I help people connect with their inner power, their intuition, and I actually help them align their mission and their life purpose, you know, so they feel good about who they are and bring that power to this world, and actually achieve what they’re here to bring forth.

Toni: Well, thank you for that.  Mimi, when you think that the word inspiration, who do you inspire, and how do you do that?

Mimi: Wow!  Inspiration … I inspire people that are truly in their power.  They really are.  You know, everybody, I believe, is in their power, and there’s just this activation of inspiration that happens when someone … for me, the people that I inspire are just happy people, and they know that there’s so much more out there.  There’s more inspiration, there’s more empowerment, there’s more, you know, love and joy to experience.

Toni: How do you inspire them?  What are some of the things that you would do when you attract those people or they come to you?  What happens?  How do you inspire them?

Mimi: Through connecting them with their divine self.  I connect them with the energy that’s within them, and we actually turn up the volume, if you will.  We turn that up, which means it increases everything that they are.  So through coaching, through seminars, through workshops, and aligning them with their values mission, life purpose, and putting them through processes, whether it’s meditation or work that is done, you know, through past life or genetics.  Then, you know, this is also something that brings out that inspiration, you know, for people.  It inspires them.

Toni: So how do you think that you might help them to explore their potential?

Mimi: Good question.  When someone feels that activation with them, so they’re inspired, right, and they want to take the next step.  It’s that support that they’re looking for, so that is something that I also offer, support.

Toni: The support for what?  The support to …

Mimi: Change.  For transformation.  Mainly it is … it’s that change transformation and actually the, you know, unmasking of people who are hiding.  Even though they’re happy, even though things are going great, there’s this, you know, one part inside that’s really, really looking to be exposed and really excited about who they are and accepted.  So self-acceptance is about a lot of what I do as well.

Toni: How does self-acceptance, do you think, correlate to exploring your potential?

Mimi: Well, because everybody’s potential is like sky high.  Everyone has that opportunity, right?  So when you accept yourself … when someone accepts themselves and their gifts and their talents and their abilities, then again, and I’m going to use that word, they activate.  Their energy is aligned.  They get connected, plugged in, and are able to, you know, accept others and the world that they’re in so that they can give.  They can be in contribution of their gifts.

Toni: Be in contribution of their gifts.  I like that.  Do you think there’s people that don’t do that?

Mimi: Yes I do.  I believe that they’re doing it, but on a very, very small scale, because there are fears and blocks and things that just show up, you know?  They may have a thought of “Oh, gosh, you know, what are people going to think about me?  What are they going to say?”  All of a sudden, they have this urge to be a little different or try something new, or act a certain way that they know will get results, but they’re just too scared.

I was one of those people, so by coming out and doing the work that I do, I help … I love that, because I just see so many smiling faces come out of this going “Wow, I can really be who I am.”  That is just … it’s a warm feeling.  How else do I describe it?  It’s a real grounding feeling that, you know, tells me that I’m on my journey and doing what I’m here to do.

Toni: So, Mimi, what do you need to be inspired?

Mimi: What do I need to be inspired?  If I may ask of everyone who will be listening to this is take a moment, because I believe that we are all connected, so just take, even if it’s a second, you know, even if it’s just a minute, whatever you have as far as time to explore your personal potential, what you are capable of doing.  And then like I said, just turn it up a notch.  Write at least ten things down.  And me knowing that you’re going to do this, that inspires me!  That inspires me, because I know so many people out there are actually going to take that step, you know?

What else inspires me?  Music inspires me, you know.  Dancing, light, beautiful sunset and sunrise, you know, connection with this earth; that’s very inspiring.  Nature.  The ocean.  Just sitting by the ocean, just hearing those waves coming in.  It’s very inspiring.  And then writing.  All of those are many, many things that inspire me.

Toni: Now, you had made a comment before when we were talking about exploring your own potential, and you said that, you know, you get it because you’ve experienced that block of maybe not being fully aware of what your gifts are and giving them, and you know, as you had stated, to be in contribution of your own gifts.

What happened for you that you were able to say “You know what?  I’m not going to be that way anymore, I need to do this.”  What inspired you to make that happen?  Because there’s a lot of people that listen to the Get Inspired! Project, and it seems to be about that passion and purpose.  So with some, they’re still struggling to find that; with others, there’s been an “ah-ha” moment or its evolution.  What’s it been for you?

Mimi: Wow … it’s been the fact … well, so many different things, little things that connected, you know, and clicked along the way.  One, I was diagnosed with a disease that I overcame with the help of my mentor, and that was because I did not follow my intuitive guidance.  I did not really, fully connect with my spiritual gifts, and I had to go to a dark place to notice that “Oh, look, I can, you know, turn this around and actually be who I am.”  But it took a while.  It didn’t, you know, just happen and then boom, I was out there telling everybody “Yes, I’m a psychic and, you know, I can help you and we can move through your dark space as well.”

No, it took time, and I was just tiptoeing around, and I would dip my little toe out, you know, like in the ocean and see if everything was going to be okay, and it was.  But really what inspired me was that I tried a lot of stuff.  I tried on everybody else’s products, things, and they just didn’t fit for me, so I knew then that I had to be myself.  I had to follow what was truly within me.

Toni: And that’s a very interesting thing to say, that you tried on other people’s products, realizing that they didn’t fit.  I think that is incredibly powerful to say.  How did you know they didn’t fit?

Mimi: There was just a resonance, a feeling, a vibration around it, something that just didn’t click for me.  And I tried to stuff myself in that mode or that mold, if you will, and it just did not work for me because, you know, intuitively I was getting all these other messages, and I felt like I was squeezing myself in this, like, you know, this place that I just didn’t fit in very well.

I’m very, you know, honored for the people that have created the products, and I learned so much along the way, and I’m happy that, you know, they have helped so many people.  But just for me and my own personal journey, you know, yeah, thanks to them, I learned that I get to be myself.

Toni: And that that’s okay, and that’s very cool!

Mimi: It is very cool, yes!

Toni: So, Mimi, how do you explore your own potential so you can continue on this path of your own self-discovery and not go back to feeling that you have to try on other people’s products, but stay with who you are so you can continue to help others, you know, come to their own realization that they don’t need to be somebody else, they can be themselves?

Mimi: Oh, you said that beautifully.

Toni: Thank you.

Mimi: Yes, it’s really connecting with that spirit with them.  I always say this, and I have to say it here as well.  We’re not our bodies, we’re not our minds.  Our bodies are a tool, you know, just like our mind is a tool.  We are spirit; that’s my belief.  And when I connect with that spirit every day then I’m in creation, I’m co-partnering with the Universe, and that is something that I’ve taken on and do, and move from that space.  So I’m led by spirit every day now.

Toni: And what does that do as far as helping you to explore your potential, just so that we’re clear on that – I want everyone to understand what that does for you.

Mimi: It boosts my energy.  It also gives me inspiration.  I have to say it, I get really, really inspired, you know, whether it’s … when I tap into my intuition, I connect and I’m in meditation, or I’m doing another process, what  happens is I’ll get this message, like “Okay, it’s time.  Today you’re going to go out in nature and you’re going to go to this place,” whether it’s a park or the beach, and I’ll do that.

Once I do that, there’s a gift waiting there for me; like possibly someone that I hadn’t seen in a long time or, you know, just a person that connects me to someone else.  It’s just interesting how it all falls into place.  So I receive inspiration when I connect with my spirit.  It’s that alignment for me now, and that strength, and that power, and that sense and knowing of who I am.

Toni: And then that’s what you then transfer within your work?

Mimi: Yes, absolutely.  I teach others how to do that for themselves so they can be, you know, like you said, who they are, and contribute from that space, because I think … yes?

Toni: No, no, no … the only thing I was going to say, and everybody that listens regularly to the Get Inspired! Project interviews is going to go “Here she goes with that same quote,” but it is so … it is just so … it screams to me that people teach what they need to learn, and that’s what you’re doing.

Mimi: Absolutely.  Of course!  Of course, I know those dark places, I’ve been there, you know?  I know what it feels like not to know who you are and walk around and go “Why am I so different, and what’s going on here?”

Toni: That’s fantastic.  You really have given a vulnerability almost to this interview today that I think people will find great value in.  And the way that you’ve described what you do to help others, but also what you need to sustain what you do, has been very valuable, so we appreciate very much you being part of the Get Inspired! Project.  Thank you for everything that you’re doing, Mimi, and showing up today.

Mimi: Thank you.  Thank you so much for allowing me to be here and having this beautiful time with you.  Thank you.

Toni: You’re quite welcome, take care.
