“These human beings are authentic, fearless, passionate.  They do not hold themselves back.  They inspire me because they are not ashamed to share their mistakes, their failures, and show me who they really are.  Now, when they can give up so much, when they can share with me so much, they are really living their truth.”

Toni Reece: Thank you so much, Raaji, for agreeing to be part of this project today, and before we begin, can you please introduce yourself?

Raaji Ghosh: Thank you, Toni, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your Get Inspired! Project.

Toni: Thank you.

Raaji: I am Rajyeshwari Ghosh, author of Essence of My Existence, and founder of my global program, Universal Growth and Transformation Initiative.  I consider myself as a citizen of the world.  I was born and raised in India and went to college and business school in the USA.  Until now, I was in the corporate world.

Toni: I see.  When you think about inspiration and what you’ve been through and who you touch in your life, who do you think you inspire and how you go about that?

Raaji: Thanks, Toni.  That’s a wonderful question.  I aim to inspire all human beings.  Inspiring anyone is the most fulfilling, yet it is the hardest task to accomplish.  Here is how I do it:  There are mainly two ways I believe I can inspire anyone.

Firstly, in order for anyone to believe what I say is to show them a living, breathing proof.  The living proof is my own life.  Leading an inspired life is the best way to inspire anyone.  You know, how I do it, my intention is to develop an authentic relationship between me and those who I am to inspire.

I tell them honestly and openly, all my mistakes, my failures, my success and joy.  If I do not share my failures and mistakes, then how can I be in a position to inspire them how to overcome their own adversities and to achieve their dreams, right?

Toni: Right, right.

Raaji: So I … yes, please?

Toni: No, no, no, go ahead.  Go ahead.  I’m sorry.

Raaji: So I back up my words with my own deeds.  Secondly, I guide them and direct them to go inside rather outside.  I say things that can trigger their thinking and encourage them to take a deeper look to observe what they’re taught, their beliefs that are floating in their mind.

Toni: I see.  So just a little clarification on that, going inside and not outside, and you have said about looking at their beliefs that I guess may be stopping them from what they want to do.  Is there another example that you can give us on what you mean by going inside and not outside?

Raaji: Shall I tell how I am exploring their potential?

Toni: If that’s a way to clarify it, absolutely.  Does that help them to explore their potential?

Raaji: Definitely.  Definitely it does.  See, Toni, I observed most of the time that human beings are not aware of our own talents, our gifts, and our potentialities.  That’s why many of us are in the scarcity state of mind, and we are constantly comparing ourselves with others.  And that is not right, in my opinion.

If we can comprehend the vastness, the depth, the magnitude of this Universe, we can understand that we are living in an abundant Universe and all of us have a lot of things in abundance for us to enjoy, to achieve our dreams.

Also, I believe human beings are spiritual beings, you know, and we are energy bodies.  So what I aim to do is to bring others in that abundant state of consciousness, and when I say to observe their mind is to actually tell them “Look.  Observe what you are thinking right at this moment.  Be mindful and see what your thoughts are.  Is it predominantly positive?  Is it predominantly negative?  If it is negative, why is it negative?  What is the force of that negativity?”

I also encourage others to see where their beliefs are coming from, whether these beliefs are unsupportive to their desired state of being.  And if they are, we should let them go.  We should let those unsupportive beliefs go and feel ourselves with positive beliefs, things that can move us forward, not hold us backward.

Toni: I would think for some people that’s very difficult to do, and you might have your work cut out for you because not everyone comes to the table knowing that “If I let those negative thoughts go, I can move towards the positive.”  And what you’re saying is that it’s absolutely possible to do that.

Raaji: Exactly.  And Toni, that’s really what our job is.  That’s where we come in.  That’s how we coach, how we guide, how we direct others, the ones who are aiming to touch their lives, and give them direction how they can do that.

Toni: Right, right.  Well, now, this work that is really important work that you do with others on inspiring them and helping them explore their potential, what is it that you need to be inspired?

Raaji: In my book, Essence of My Existence, you know, I wrote a poem called “The Ones Who Inspire Me.”  What I wrote there is this:  I look for individuals who proved they can be extraordinary in ordinary circumstances.   Whatever circumstances, difficulties, adversities they were facing in their lives or they are still facing that did not let anyone or anything to stop them to make the impossible possible.

Again, I repeat:  They did not let anything or anyone to stop them to make the impossible possible.

But I should say, they should be positively making a difference.  Those human beings should be positively making a positive contribution to the society.  These human beings are authentic, fearless, passionate.  They do not hold themselves back.  They inspire me because they are not ashamed to share their mistakes, their failures, and show me who they really are.  Now, when they can give up so much, when they can share with me so much, they are really living their truth.  Then, the gift they can give wholeheartedly and life also reciprocates back to them abundantly.

Secondly, I also need to be in that state of consciousness, Toni, that I am aware of the abundance in this Universe.  The best way to be in that state is to have a continuous thirst for knowledge.  As I said in my poem “Limitless Knowledge” in my book, knowledge is the wine of life.  It makes things so intoxicating.

As I am gaining more knowledge, my mind is evolving even more.  As I am evolving, I am manifesting even more, you know.  Therefore, it is an inside-out process, rather than outside in.  The more I am positively inspired, the more I positively manifest outside.

Toni: Have you always been that way?  Have you always been positive and aware of what is happening to you in that moment?

Raaji: Mostly, I have been a very positive, energetic, in-love-with-life kind of a person, but as I said, you know, I am constantly evolving, too.  You know, the state of mind I am in right now, it’s an evolved state of mind.  And if you talk to me a year from now, probably it will be even more evolved.

Toni: Are there tools or techniques that you reach for when you know that it’s time for you to seek inspiration, to be inspired?  Are there certain things that you find yourself reaching for?

Raaji: So you are basically asking me how do I explore my own potential, am I right?

Toni: Well, that is the final question, right.  But just to stay on the inspiration with you for just a moment, when I’ve asked this question with others, they said the tools that they might use are meditation or yoga …

Raaji: Oh, absolutely.  Oh sure, thanks for asking that.  Yes.  Meditation, yoga, good diet, mostly organic diet.  I eat a lot of vegetables.  I try not to eat a lot of meat.  Regularly reading inspirational books, biographies, and you know, being physically fit, mentally fit; that means reading a lot of great biographies as I said.  Talking to people who are also in that same journey.

Toni: I see.  That’s very helpful.  When people share the tools that they use to stay inspired, it’s really helpful for those who are listening and reading these interviews to say “Gosh, there is something that’s going on here that people are absolutely reaching for the same tools, or different tools”, and we can all learn from that.  So I appreciate you sharing that.

The final question is, how do you explore your own potential?  What do you do?

Raaji: Sure.  See, I need to be … in order to inspire others, you know, I have to also constantly explore my own potential.  You know, I cannot say the same thing again and again for the next five years, so I need to be connected both inside and outside to explore my own potential as well.

What I mean by this is, I need to observe my own beliefs, thoughts, and actions.  I observed when I am in a scarcity state of mind, I feel I am lacking something; whereas when I am in the abundant state of mind, I am connected to my unlimited potentialities.

Toni: Oh …

Raaji: Yes.  Secondly, I perceive the realities of the world around me by observing everything, what is  happening, you know, both good and bad.  The universe outside that we are seeing, that has already been manifested.

That’s the product of the consciousness and manifestation of the people who have lived before us who are living right now with us.  And it’s also part of our own manifestation.  But it is still constantly evolving.  The way it is evolving is through our own consciousness.

In other words, I have to be both in the material world and out of the material world to realize what is real and what is illusion.

Toni: That’s very interesting.  There’s a lot of people that are going to be reading that going “How do you do that?”

Raaji: Sure.  You know, what I said how do I do that is, you know, the techniques I have mentioned before, meditation, analytical meditation, map meditation, sitting meditation, and just be mindful of being present.  What is real, you know, is full of unlimited energy, full of potentiality, full of knowledge, wisdom, intelligence, and courage.

You know, when you meet a person who is very authentic, he or she will be like vibrating and pulsating with energy.  You can just feel that vibe.  Therefore, we have to be in the state of consciousness where we, including me, that “I am where I am”, aware of what is real and what is illusion, and then just focus on the real.

Toni: You have been amazing with the information that you have given in this interview, and I know that this just, from my perspective, has piqued a lot of interest.  Your book is in our shop, the Get Inspired! Shop, and we will have a way to get a hold of you at the bottom of your blog post.  For this small amount of time for you to give as much information and knowledge as you have, we are so appreciative of this, and we can’t thank you enough.

Raaji: Thank you so much, Toni, I really appreciate it and, in fact, in my book, Essence of My Existence:, Poems to Acknowledge My Truth, I have how I have evolved, how I am in this present state of consciousness, that’s what exactly I wrote.  And it is really for those individuals who are seeking to find the answers and seeking to find the guidance and trying to manifest positively in the Universe.  Thank you so much again for your time, Toni.  I really appreciate it.

Toni: Thank you, and I look forward to talking to you again in the future.

Raaji: Same here.

Toni: Take care of yourself.

Raaji: Thank you, Toni.  Good luck with your project.

Toni: Thank you.

Yoga is a way of life, a conscious act, not a set or series of learning principles. The dexterity, grace, and poise you cultivate, as a matter of course, is the natural outcome of regular practice. You require no major effort. In fact trying hard will turn your practices into a humdrum, painful, even injurious routine and will eventually slow down your progress. Subsequently, and interestingly, the therapeutic effect of Yoga is the direct result of involving the mind totally in inspiring (breathing) the body to awaken. Yoga is probably the only form of physical activity that massages each and every one of the body’s glands and organs. This includes the prostate, a gland that seldom, if ever, gets externally stimulated in one’s whole life.
